What is a monkeybox?

When I was a little girl, we had a pet monkey named Amanda. My Dad worked in the produce business, so each night he brought home that days culls in a big box - spotty cucumbers, pithy apples, limp celery, moldy oranges and the like. We called it a monkeybox. It was really just trash, but my Mom would take each piece of fruit and trim it, pare it and cut it up to make a beautiful fruit platter for Amanda. Even though it was deemed trash by one, it still had life left in it and was good for the purpose we needed it. That's how I live my life - thrifting, yard saling, looking for another's trash to be my treasure.

If I Would Have Won The Powerball

This is one of the very first things I would have purchased.

It's for sale not to far from my house.

Aqua and red?  Yes, Please.
It's a golf cart.
But, I think it would make a great local yard saling vehicle.
Not to mention an eye catcher for my own yard sales.
It's just the cutest thing EVER.

Maybe I could sell cupcakes out of the back of it.

Toot! Toot!

I die.

  1. Wow, when we turn 55 we could move to Sun City and use that. We would have the coolest ride there.

  2. OH MY GOD! It's the perfect size for "The Worlds Smallest Drive-In Movie Theater" in my Back yard! :D

  3. That is so cute! I haven't checked my ticket maybe I won!

  4. Very Cute. I haven't checked my ticket either. I always think that the longer I take to look at it, the luckier the ticket will be. Like it gets better with age, like a fine wine. Thus far, this method has not worked. How much are they asking for such a fine, fine ride?

  5. Yep! That's pretty much the cutest little ride ever!
    Erica :)

  6. BUT, there is no room in the back for your finds! How cute is that anyways?!?!?!?!

  7. Quick, Bean! To the Mom-Mobile! Yard Sales won't wait!
