What is a monkeybox?

When I was a little girl, we had a pet monkey named Amanda. My Dad worked in the produce business, so each night he brought home that days culls in a big box - spotty cucumbers, pithy apples, limp celery, moldy oranges and the like. We called it a monkeybox. It was really just trash, but my Mom would take each piece of fruit and trim it, pare it and cut it up to make a beautiful fruit platter for Amanda. Even though it was deemed trash by one, it still had life left in it and was good for the purpose we needed it. That's how I live my life - thrifting, yard saling, looking for another's trash to be my treasure.

Free Cable Internet Access

I had trouble with my Cable Box the other day so I called for them to fix it. While we were waiting for it to reboot, the guy told me all about Internet High Speed Cable. I told him I was interested, but not ready that day. About a week later, Cox called and offered me a FREE modem (was $59.99) and one month's worth of free internet service just to try it out. So, we got the modemn last week and I got it hooked up today. It does seem a lot faster. I am anxious to get some things on ebay and see how fast it loads. I don't have a cable outlet in my office, so we have a 50 foot cable running out of the bedroom, across the doorway to DS's room and under the door to the office then on top of my ebay treasures. Lookin' good! NOT! We will have to get the Cable Guy out here to set it up corretly.

Hint of the Day: Procrastinate on with a salesman and you might get a good deal.
