What is a monkeybox?

When I was a little girl, we had a pet monkey named Amanda. My Dad worked in the produce business, so each night he brought home that days culls in a big box - spotty cucumbers, pithy apples, limp celery, moldy oranges and the like. We called it a monkeybox. It was really just trash, but my Mom would take each piece of fruit and trim it, pare it and cut it up to make a beautiful fruit platter for Amanda. Even though it was deemed trash by one, it still had life left in it and was good for the purpose we needed it. That's how I live my life - thrifting, yard saling, looking for another's trash to be my treasure.

For Sale - Trims and Quilting Materials

I don't normally do this - but I have these items that I don't want to list on ebay due to the time it would take to sort and measure to make those pesky ebay buyers happy......you know how it is!  So, here is what I have and if you are interested - drop me a line at monkeybox@juno.com.  Photos taken with the phone since my camera was AWOL.

Lots and lots of new in package, but vintage lace, seam binding, bias tape, blanket edging and ribbon.  
TONS of lace and trim - some with beads and sequins.  There is a BUNCH and I mean A LOT of that white rickrack up in the left corner.
 There is a lot of this green trim with pompoms.  I know it was expensive.
Sewing snaps and closures.

EVERYTHING in all 4 photos - $25.00 which INCLUDES shipping.  

QUILT KIT:  There are hundreds and hundreds of small pieces cut out.  Lots of very sweet fabrics.  Be sure to click on it to see the patterns.

 There is a hand drawn pattern, but I don't know if there are all the pieces needed to complete it in the bag.
Each little square measures about 2" square or less.  Very sweet materials and patterns.

$30.00 for ALL in both photos which INCLUDES shipping.

Next I will be sorting out all that new in package rickrack.  Any desires or wants???? LMK!
