My favorite is in the bottom photo - upper right corner with the matching earrings. It belonged to my Step Father's Mother. Isn't it gorgeous?
Which one do YOU like the best?
When I was a little girl, we had a pet monkey named Amanda. My Dad worked in the produce business, so each night he brought home that days culls in a big box - spotty cucumbers, pithy apples, limp celery, moldy oranges and the like. We called it a monkeybox. It was really just trash, but my Mom would take each piece of fruit and trim it, pare it and cut it up to make a beautiful fruit platter for Amanda. Even though it was deemed trash by one, it still had life left in it and was good for the purpose we needed it. That's how I live my life - thrifting, yard saling, looking for another's trash to be my treasure.

They're ALL gorgeous! This was funny to me - I have been collecting them, too! LOVE them. I don't know if I can pick a favorite in your collection!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the black rose.
Love them all. I don't collect these....well at least not yet...lol.
ReplyDeleteThey are all great but I think the black & white one reminds me a something I wore in the 60's!
Hey Shara I like the "hippy-trippy-chippy" lime green & hot pink on the left! What I want to know...if you have 3 of something, is it really, truly a collection?? 3 of these have somehow, while I wasn't looking, sneaked into my "studio" and hung themselves up on my message board!! :o} Happy Mother's Day! *e*
ReplyDeleteI HOPE YOU'RE WEARING THEM!! I can't narrow it down to just one... my votes are for the olive/pink or the brown/turq. - but then You know how my tendancies run - the tackier er um FUNNER the better 8-)!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSO pretty :) Ive never found one of these!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the same as your favorite. Bring on the sparklies!! :)
ReplyDeleteThose pins will fade in the sun, so beware where you store them. I had some in a sunny windowsill for a while and they all faded. :(
Oh what a purty purty collection! I think my favorite is the yellow one with the ladybug in the center :^)
ReplyDeletePRETTY! I have you seen any of these brooch bouquets?

I'm dying to try one. Your pins would be perfect for them!
I love these, too, and am always happy when I find one. (Well, when I find one for a quarter.) I'm partial to either of the pink ones.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I collect these, too. I also thought I might sell them but I just can't. :) I feel it's a good thrifting day when I score one of these.
