No, this post is not a recipe for Schnitzel with Noodles. It is, however, a post about one of "My Favorite Things".
I found this handmade window valance at the Salvation Army about ten years ago. It sat folded up on a shelf for about nine years. I always thought it was adorable, but it really didn't "fit" into my house. Then one day, I said, "Who cares if it doens't fit in???" and threw caution to the wind. I put it in my Office above the tan curtains. And, you know what? I love it. It is one of my favorite things. What good was it doing on a shelf in storage? Every day I see it and get a kick out of it.
The girls are wearing actual necklaces, earrings, bracelets and anklets. Someone put a lot of work into this silly little valance. And, I'm glad they did!

They all have embellishments of lace, ribbons, yarn, trim and bows. Their bare feet give me a giggle. If you click on a photo to enlarge it and happen to see any sort of dust bunnies...keep it to yourself, alrighty?
