I went to a lot of thrifts this week. I got some more vintage Christmas items- a neat Santa with a paper mache face, mohair beard and velvet suit for 50¢ and a few other items I will put back for resell next year.

I finished my Christmas shopping today and I have everything ready for the party at school for my son's class. I've been the Homeroom Mom for five years. I will give each child a book that I got at www.bookcloseouts.com for 48¢ each, a mini stocking, a small Christmas Tree shaped dish, a candy cane pen, a striped pencil and a bunch of candy. All the Christmas items were bought last year for 90% of and the candy was an after Halloween 90% sale score. Each goody bag will have about $10.00 worth of stuff in it - but I only spent about $1.25 a bag. I am always shopping ahead for next year's party or next year's birthday. The bad thing is that my son is off to Middle School next year and there areno parties in Middle School. So,my bargain hunting must stop (in that respect anyway!)

I worked at school today helping sort out Christmas presents, groceries and tolietres for the needy families in our area. We had a cafeteria full of items. Sixz generous people even bought their adopted "angels" a new bicycle. it was nice to see so much generosity. It made me thankful that I was able to be on the giving end rather than the receiveing end.

Merry Christmas. Happy After Christmas Baragain Hunting! ;o)
