I bought some cool things this weekend and we went on some more fun road trips last week (Thanks for checking in Libby). I'll post again tomorrow once my throbbing head stops aching from all the hate.
I did go here:
'Til we thrift again -
When I was a little girl, we had a pet monkey named Amanda. My Dad worked in the produce business, so each night he brought home that days culls in a big box - spotty cucumbers, pithy apples, limp celery, moldy oranges and the like. We called it a monkeybox. It was really just trash, but my Mom would take each piece of fruit and trim it, pare it and cut it up to make a beautiful fruit platter for Amanda. Even though it was deemed trash by one, it still had life left in it and was good for the purpose we needed it. That's how I live my life - thrifting, yard saling, looking for another's trash to be my treasure.

How beautiful! Can't wait to hear about this place. Is it a church?

I'm sorry you had to go through all that mess--people need to get their priorities straight and know what battles to fight that are really worth it!

That really sucks!! I was just about to write you and tell you how cool it is that you know them:):) I've watched two of their specials and am so impressed with their family. BUT...yes, people suck somtimes. I've used a couple things from the Junk Box you sent this week in my crafting - I still have it all together in a box so that I can think of you everytime I rummage through it looking for that "perfect" item:)
ReplyDeleteSome people just have nothing better to do than harrass. They probably never took the time to read the entire story before passing judgement. They all need to go suck and egg.
ReplyDeleteOh, Oh, I know, I know! Frank Costanza!!!!!!
