WOW - Week of Wonderful?

My WOW Week has not turned out as delightfully wonderful as I had planned.  I got sick over the weekend and am still feeling rather puny.  Headache, cough, congestion, stuffy head, all that jazz.  My nose - one minute I can breathe, the next minute it is so stuffed that I cannot catch a breath and the next minute it is running down my face like a faucet.  (ick, I know.)  In the morning my Vick's laden hair is sticking up and matted, my eyes are crusted shut, my nose is red and peeling and my ear is draining.  I am truly a disgusting sight.  Yesterday I called my Mom and she thought I was a MAN.  Add in the deep gravely voice and I am one hell of a catch.

The Christmas decorations are still up in all their glory and probably will be for at least another week.  But, at least I have something happy to look at while I lay on the couch drowning in my own snot.  I think we'll just start the Advent calendar again and just pretend it is December 2nd.  It's 15 degrees outside and snow is on the way, so why not?  Or maybe make that 'Why snot?'

I think the Nyquil has kicked in.  G'Nite and Merry Chrismtas or Week of Wonderful or Happy New Year or whatever floats your boat.

(I think this is like drunk texting, but blogging under the influence of Nyqil.)

  1. It's a very good thing that I was not drinking anything while reading your post, or it would be all over my keyboard!! I am so sorry that you are sick, but reading that was hilarious :) Get well soon!

  2. So sorry you have been sick. I was a little under the weather for a day last week after babysitting my grandkids, those little petri dishes!! Hope you are on the mend. Thanks for the Nuquil induced laughs!

  4. I've got something coming on, Shara, so I can relate. I really don't want to get sick and I'm sorry you are. Feel better soon.

PS Next time you are at loss for something to blog about, take a chug of Nyquil and let it kick in.

  5. Blech. :( I was hoping you'd be better by now, that it would have been one of those quick things that hits and leaves as fast as it showed up. Sorry to hear it's still hanging on! Feel better soon!

  6. Hope you will be on the mend soon. Being a snot factory isn't fun. I work in a library and there are all stages of snottiness going around here. It's amazing that I rarely get sick considering how many germ carriers come in our doors. At least you have a sense of humor about it.
