That Thing I Collect

I mentioned below that I bought something for one of my never before mentioned collections.

There is one in this photo.

What do I collect?

No, not nekkid baby dolls.
Not costume jewelry pins.
Not head jugs.

What is it?
This is it.
Do you know what it is?
A collapsible cup.
I remember my Great Grandmother carrying one in her purse and using it to get a drink from the drinking fountain.
I only have six of them, but as we know - three is a collection, so I am well on my way!
You put a pill in the little pillbox inside the lid.  Then the cup smushes down flat inside the lid.
I used to carry one with my emergency antacid in it.

It is one collection that is easy to keep together.

This one is my favorite.  Fancy!

What weird little thing do you collect that  you haven't shared....   yet?

  6. I loved these! They just made so much sense. (And apparently various members of my family were heavily medicated, as someone always seemed to have one ... I'll have to think on that some more.) Maybe water bottles have rendered these obsolete, but now I kind of want one.

  8. Shara, I get a newsletter called Kovels Komments and this one made me think of you right away:

    TV Show Looking for Collectors

"My Collection Obsession" on TLC visits extraordinary collections and collectors. They asked us to help them find collectors for their show. If collecting is part of your life with great finds in every room, if flea markets and club meetings determine your vacations, and you know more about your collectible than most, you might be chosen for a show. If you are interested email them at mycollectionobsession@gmail.com.

Include what you collect and send photos or videos of the shelves filled with collectibles. Tell why your interest and objects are so special. Is it sentiment, furnishings for the house, history, inheritance or just plain fun?

OHMYGOSH they could do an entire show on you!! You should check it out!
