I'm in Hot Water

Thankfully. The hot water heater is reconnected, new drain lines, and pipes, etc. DH said the water was VERY hot tonight, so it is working good. I turned the Geo-Thermal on and the pump started sucking water and it is working great too. So, I can have my first good night's worry free sleep in three nights tonight. I'll try not to think about that check I wrote for $1,200.00.

You know when things aren't how you want them, you tend to get upset? Well, I was upset. I get very little help from my husband as he works nearly 18 hours a day. So, I am the one to live with the problems, call to get the help and wait by the phone and door waiting for someone to come fix whatever is wrong. I hate having strange men in my house, and I have had five in here in as many days.

Thanks for everyone that offered a bit of encouragement. It's nice to have friends in blogville!

This is Wal-Mart Shareholder's week in NW Arkansas. A free for all party sponsored by Wal-Mart for it's Shareholders. Most of the events are also open to the local public as a thank you from Wal-Mart. There are a number of concerts including Journey, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, All American Rejects, Tim McGraw and several other names that I didn't even recognize. In the past we've seen Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley and Will Smith. I still can't believe I saw Will Smith! Not sure if we will go to any concerts this yea. Since they opened them to thepublic, the crowds are terrible. In the past, someone at Wal-mart, may have given someone here at my house their name tag and we might have snuck in and pretended to know the Wal-Mart wave and the Wal-Mart Cheer. Maybe.

The parking lot at all the area Wal-Mart's will be set up with tents full of free merchandise. We generally bring home about 12-15 Wal-Mart sacks full of free stuff including food, drinks, shirts, cups, samples, etc. The vendors don't care - every time you walk past them, they shove a bag at you. We just walk around and around and around reaping the free stuff. We haven't bought deodorant or body wash in three years! Our neighbors went to Vega this week, but I'd rather be right here in the parking lot, loading up on the goods.
Here's The Husband shaving at the Gillette Booth last year. Why would anyone want to shave in the parking lot with strangers mingling about?
I'm still trying to clear out my photos on this old computer. So, here are a couple of random photos.
Our cat, Tiger, on the toilet. If you were ever in our house when he uses the litter box, you would wish he could actually use the toilet. I do not know what is wrong with this guy, but his insides are rotten. Luckily, he has killer personality and charm or he would have been a goner, long ago! TMI???

  2. I'm not a real crowd person, but I think I'd fight the crowds for a Tim McGraw concert! LOL! I remember you talking about this week on YSQ before! And here. Sounds like alot of fun! Don't forget to take lots of pics and tell us all about it!
