Happy Halloween! Boo!
1. I think we are getting sick. Sore throats, headaches, red eyes. Boo!
2. I couldn't find anything clever to give the trick or treaters this year so we are passing out peanut butter cracker packs. In the past we have passed out Twinkies, Campbell's Soup banks, Kool Aid packets and mini loaves of Wonder Bread. I like to be original and not pass out candy. I am such a spoilsport. Boo!
3. 10-31-1990 was the first time The Breadman and I spent any alone time together. The day we became friends. Best friends - together all the time friends. That used to mean a card and maybe some flowers. A couple of years ago, he forgot and he hasn't remembered since. :( Boo!
4. I went to Goodwill in search of vintage Halloween and ended up buying an Easter decoration. Boo!
5. I didn't sell one single Halloween item that I took to my booth. I still think my things are cute and sweet, so I will not give up. But, golly, I wish I might have sold something....Boo!
6. My checker at Walmart today was dressed as a giant hotdog. Boo!
7. None of our neighbors are into fun stuff like "Boo'ing" each others houses. I think it would be fun though. Boo!
8. When I went down the Halloween candy aisle today it had been replaced with Candy Canes and Gift sets. Boo!
9. My kid is too old to go trick or treating and dressing up and I really miss that. Boo!
10. I need to bring in my pumpkin before the hooligans take it to smash in the street. Boo!
Happy Halloween to you. My November 1st bring you sacks of half price candy of your most favorite variety. I hope to find a years supply of Vanilla Tootsie Rolls at Target. *Fingers crossed!*
We went to Walmart today, and I was amazed to see all the Halloween candy & stuff in baskets by the registers - not clearance priced yet, just out of the way because the aisles that previously held it were already full of Christmas stuff!
ReplyDeleteOtter is too old to trick or treat, but she's not too old to dress up. 2nd year of college and they all wear costumes to class!
I have to say I kinda enjoyed your Boos!!
ReplyDelete#11: If I looked for it, I could find the radio station that starts playing Christmas music Nov. 1. Boo!
ReplyDelete#12: My comment entering me in the drawing for the PUREX never posted, and now it's TOO LATE. Boo! (But, CONGRATS to the WINNER!!)
ReplyDeleteI never got my Halloween decorations out this year. They're still sitting in their boxes in the middle of the front room where they've been since October 8. Boo!
ReplyDeletePS--I totally remember those tiny loaves of Wonder Bread! If I got one of those in my treat bag as a kid I would have FAINTED from GLEE. Because even as a kid I knew that tiny things are cute.
PPS--next year I'm passing out un-frozen freezy popsicles. I had some leftovers that I threw in my bucket and those got taken before the candy!
I saw an whole unopened CASE of Vanilla Tootsie Rolls at a grocery store yesterday. Not half priced though (I think they will be putting them out for Christmas)
