Blog Business

Thanks to a request by Linda, I have taken off that dreadful word verification box on my comments.  So, if you have had any problems leaving a comment in the past hopefully it will be an easier task now.  I tried to leave a comment on a blog the other day and my word verification was in Arabic!  What the heck?  How was I supposed to type that????

I spotted this Word Verification on Lamebook:
I mean, really, do I want to offend anyone with GULPS WIENERS?  I think not!

Another thing that I have been wanting to mention is that I love my comments and I really would like to be able to answer a lot of you.  But, when I get an email with your comment in it - more often than not there is a no-reply email address.  That means I can't email you back to answer your questions or to just thank you for stopping by.  Some of my very best blog friends even have no-reply emails when they leave a comment *Heidi*cough*Sue*.  There is a great little tutorial over at Hi! Sugarplum that will walk you through changing it so that I can see your email and respond to you.  Your email address won't show up in the comments and no one will ever see it except for the person that you leave the comment for when they receive the email with your comment in it.  It's easy and painless, I promise.

And now, that concludes the business portion of the post.  :)

just so happens, when Shoe Obsessed did a similiar post, I followed the instructions ~ so you 'should' already be getting my e-mail address, MISSY SHARA (no finger pointing allowed!!!!).

No, let me know, if it isn't showing up, because then Heidi & I were just ridiculed for nothing and your whole post was a waste...
(just KIDDING!!!) What it really means is that I blundered something AGAIN 8-)

  3. Thanks to Linda, I also removed the word verification, it sure slowes down the comment process! I like it too when I can respond to a comment via email, just makes it so much better!

    Have a great day!

  5. Thanks for this post, Shara. I went in and check my settings and had it half right. It seems these techno things are changing all the time. It can be maddening trying to keep up, especially for me, the casual blogger.

  6. Do you know, that all along I have thought that I DID have my email address attached? Then when I saw Andie's post I went and checked--and sure enough, it wasn't! DOH! I actually think I used to have it attached and then I changed something and inadvertently deleted it. But now it should be back to normal. Sheesh!

  9. Thank you! I usually suffer through the verification process if I really want to leave a comment, but it's pretty annoying. Hoping many others follow your excellent example!

I love my comments. I'd love to respond to everyone, but if you don't have an email address tied to your ID, please sign your name so I will know who you are! It makes it nice to know who is saying what. Now, leave a comment! Please? ;o)
