Wishlist Item #2 FOUND

When the Thrift Store that you haven't been to in six months pops into your mind and say "COME TO ME NOW".  Do it.

You might scratch another item off your wishlist for the second time in five days.  The elusive tin metal basket is MINE....all mine.

*When I spied it on the shelf, I clasped my hands in prayer and said, "Oh please, please let me be able to afford it since it is the first one I have ever seen anywhere EVER."

The price?  $2.00.

I can afford THAT!

(This photo is a stock image from the internet but the exact one I found today.  The temperatures are dropping, it's all cloudy and dark and rainy so not a good day for photography.)

  1. I have never, ever found one of those at a thrift store, estate sale or yard sale. I had 2 (one rusted out) that my mom found in a junk pile on the side of the road. Other than that, it's been strictly antique stores. Those tins are high on my wish list too! So glad you found one!

  2. Wowza! Awesome! I have seen no less than three of these at yard sales this year and have coveted everyone, but everyone wanted ten bucks for them. Bummer for me, but yay for you!

  5. A week after I read this post I was at my parents' house for a visit. As I walked up their driveway of stuff (remember our conversations....) there sat a tin basket! It sits alone, covered in dust and persimmon droppings. I immediately thought of you and laughed out loud. I asked my dad if that had been there long (thinking I had walked passed it many times) but he said that they just got it from their Estate Sale that they just finished running. NOBODY EVEN WANTED TO BUY IT!!!! He offered it to me but I don't have anywhere to put it. Hopefully it will find a nice home...or my dad will store nuts and bolts in it!
