Uh, Mr. Weatherman......

The weatherman said we would have snow.  Maybe up to 7".  Mostly likely 2"-4".  The man that runs my Flea market said he had heard a foot.  I never heard that myself.

It was not snowing at 2:00 am.  It was completely white at 4:00 am.

By 8:00 am, it was about 15" deep.  Holey Moley!

Now we have 24" of snow and it is still falling hard and fast.

Everything is gone.  My junk is covered up completely.
This stump is about three feet tall.
 Even the snowmen look miserable.
Come on over and sit a spell in my chairs.  Comfy, huh?  Now they are completely covered up.  Gone!
I think this is my car.  Not sure though.  I don't plan on leaving, so that's okay.
Past my knees at 8:00 am.  I'm going to need this stuff to melt fast - or have a major growth spurt soon.  :D

There's so many semi's off the roads that the National Guard has been sent out to help.  People are in lines on the highway, running out of gas.  What a mess.

I think the weatherman missed it this time.

Boy Howdy!

  1. Well, you know what Jack always says "the weatherman doesn't know shit." LOL

Last week they said we were getting 20 inches. We got maybe 6.

  3. Good grief! It's not often that you get more snow than we do. Same storm got us yesterday, but we only got around 6" out of it. 24" is nuts!

  6. I'm pretty tired of this, so I can imagine that you are as well. I'm wondering if it's ever going to end. Ever seen the old Twilight Zone episode where the planet is heading closer to the sun? But the twist at the end is that it's a dream and the planet is actually heading away from the sun, so it's getting colder. That's how I feel right about now.

  7. Wow! I can't imagine. We have not even seen a snowflake this year - I think it all fell on one side of the country!

Hope the Breadman gets the day off and all of you are safe. Its pretty unless you have to be out in it. The storm you are having now is heading our way (NC) so I hope it has run out of steam by the time it gets here. Stay warm...

We had about 15 inches here. Crazy weather! The day before the storm it was in the 50's and now it is minus 11 today and that is without wind chill!
    Spring can't come soon enough.

  10. Well, I for one, am completely JEALOUS!! We haven't had a good storm yet this winter. It snowed about 10" two weeks ago but that's it. An inch here and there -- certainly not 2 feet like you've received. Send it on up here to Maryland!!

  11. If I could send some of our Florida weather that way, I would!

  12. Huh, the National Guard helps you when it snows? Interesting. Welcome to the Great White North. ;)
