I Heard A Boom

I went to the best sale in my entire FREAKING life today.  I am twitching from the digging and the fun!  It was outside and it was near a construction zone so it was super hot and super dusty.  But, I have absolutely NO memory of any of this.  Just the most fantastic kitschy Craptastic stuff ever.  Huge box of boy scout stuff from the 1950's, a box of 1950's baby cloths, 1950's doll cloths, piles of board games, puzzles, vintage Christmas and more and more and more.

And, the house was only half empty - they were dragging things out left and right while we were there.  I am so going back tomorrow.  Oh My GOD.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
On another note - a homemade bomb got set off on our street last night.  I thought a house had exploded.  It was so loud the windows shook.  Everyone int he neighborhood congregated on the corner trying to figure out what had happened.  The police, fire trucks and first responders were all there.  It was quite the hullabaloo.  Today we were out looking to see if there was any damage and the news crew should up in our driveway.  They interviewed me and The Breadman for a long time, took lots of video, even had us leave and drive up the street when we were done - all on film.  Tonight, it was the lead story.  "I head this boom" I said.  And, that was the end of my big TV appearance.
  3. Oh man, does that remind me of something. One night, when I lived in No. Hollywood, there were suddenly 10 LAPD cars all around my house (I lived on a corner). Then the bomb squad comes. They put up the police tape. Turns out they arrested a guy for DUI and he had air bag cannisters in his car. They brought out that big bomb drum and blew them up right in front of my house. It was really cool. I let a cop use my bathroom, so they gave me the police tape. Ah, memories!
