Sold a rare Liddle Kiddles doll for $500; got the same for a Mego Isis doll (NOT a terrorist doll!) and a Color Magic Barbie MIB brought 2k. But my best ever score was for two Bild Lilli dolls that I paid $10 a piece for last summer which brought a whopping $5500! Woot! Do you remember the PO's Priority Shipping campaign,"2 pounds, 2 days,$2.90"? Those days are looong gone!Rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09915055382278511523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-43964994344281723662016-02-29T23:01:25.502-06:002016-02-29T23:01:25.502-06:00I've been selling on eBay since 1996. Don't ask, I am still so pissed about it I could scream. But like you said there are some cray cray people out there and all you can do is block them and move on. Its a great part time money maker. I love selling vintage stuff best, but honestly I sell way more clothing and shoes because they are plentiful and cheap near me. Not to mention that I like to hoard all the good vintage stuff :) I started selling in March of 2011and its made me just over 70K, so not a bad gig at all! And I still love your Blythe story, one of these days I WILL find one. The basement is so-so.) I just started offering returns; i was under the impression that we didn't have a choice. When i didn't have the returns, i still took them; happy customers mean happy seller! I don't make a lot. The best i've done was i bought several Coogi sweaters at a garage sale for 5$ each. I sold all four of them for a total of about 550.00. Not bad for 20$! This is very part-time. I like the thrill of the hunt, though!
Loved the quilt story! momsavnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-19589548967873452972016-02-23T09:57:56.154-06:002016-02-23T09:57:56.154-06:00Oh yes... what a 'journey' e-bay is!!Oh yes... what a 'journey' e-bay is!!svelteSTUFFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18382308755141323232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-22556565140565680202016-02-22T22:29:34.966-06:002016-02-22T22:29:34.966-06:00I did a lot of selling on eBay back around 1997 or...I did a lot of selling on eBay back around 1997 or 1998 when they were brand new. You could still search on "vintage" back then and it would show you everything - LOL! I rarely sell there anymore, mostly because I don't like the part where you have to keep track and wait for payment before you ship. Etsy is just easier.
Congrats on the anniversary!Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15277091224169007300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-69212839473100777242016-02-22T17:42:58.155-06:002016-02-22T17:42:58.155-06:00I sell on eBay, too. The car sale was amazing. It was a new car that neither my husband nor I liked much. I put it on eBay motors and it sold quickly. The man came with a bank check, walked around the car once, paid us and left with it! I've sold small items that were more trouble than selling the car! eBay has been quite the ride! Congrats on your anniversary!
