DS throws his away every 3 months and learned the HARD way why they are NOT to be worn overnight.oliveoyl64https://www.blogger.com/profile/08043694366488352015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-28493362499752099452007-06-21T06:57:00.000-05:002007-06-21T06:57:00.000-05:00Shara- By now your eyes should be all better... HO...Shara- By now your eyes should be all better... HOPEFULLY!! I can sympathize, I have to wear glasses ALL the time due to problems that contacts can't correct. I picked up a GREAT old vintage pair of 50's Cat-eye prescription frames (metallic with rhinestones!!) at a sale dirt cheap. I took them to the guy that makes my lenses and asked if we could use them. He said they were a very good quality frame in good shape. He removed the old lenses from the frames, made an Rx pair of tinted lenses to fit the frames , so now I have a STYLING pair of Fun sunglasses - and saved myself about $150. on frames!!
The owl S.C. sounds like a 'must-have'!! Believe it or not I don't have one like that, so whenever you are ready to part with it (and the VERA!!) just let me know and maybe we can arrange a swap 8-)!!
S- (svelteSTUFF)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-90412924015561842392007-06-20T22:38:00.000-05:002007-06-20T22:38:00.000-05:00That red Pyrex lid--is it sort of square shaped bu...That red Pyrex lid--is it sort of square shaped but with rounded corners? The bowl for that lid comes in three colors that I know of: red, yellow and aqua (I have an aqua one!). There were I think 4 sizes of bowls in that style. The top rim is square shape but the base is round. The largest bowl (that the lid goes to) was sold at times with 4 smaller bowls and called a hostess set. Could be used as a salad bowl. I have a large aqua, a medium red, and a bunch of small (but not the smallest) yellows and reds. They are one of my most favorite Pyrex patterns!

Oh, and if the lid is not what I described--then you just got a very useless Pyrex identification lesson!
