They were so used to the students being around, they came right up to us all of the time. After a few days, we didn't even notice.Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06614890555110819353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-47355099604780878102009-05-08T21:18:00.000-05:002009-05-08T21:18:00.000-05:00Oh, thank you thank you thank you for rescuing the...Oh, thank you thank you thank you for rescuing the bunny and the squirrel. (Especially the squirrel. People are so absurdly stupid sometimes!) The photos are adorable.barbarahttp://oodlesandoodles.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-63594094864365694412009-05-08T18:39:00.000-05:002009-05-08T18:39:00.000-05:00You did the right thing reporting the squirrelnapp...You did the right thing reporting the squirrelnapping. The animals are probably used to people and to being fed, but they are still wild animals and should be left where they are. Next time you get to Tulsa, there is a well-known area (Woodward Park) that is loaded with squirrels and they are so used to people that they will take food out of your hands.

We've had baby bunnies before, mom bunnies don't generally abandon them so the one your hubby found is probably fine with all "his" siblings. They will probably be fine with weather, but if they are in an area where you think they might get covered with water - is there any way you can dam the water off? Relocating them is not a good idea.Otter Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10150285495175373444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15117059.post-25371012110179426902009-05-08T09:55:00.000-05:002009-05-08T09:55:00.000-05:00The bunnies are adorable. Plus our dogs chase them all the time since it's one of their jobs. You are SO COOL to tattle on those creeps (I would have done the same thing and ran. No telling how squirrelnappers react when busted). Some people just cannot leave well enough alone, and while the intentions may have been good, that squirrel, I'm certain, is happy that you intervened. Have a great weekend! *elaine*misselaineoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02799246188299123828noreply@blogger.com
